Bill Lester, Jr., P.E.
Bill is one of three founding members of LKC Engineering. Bill has been actively engaged in the funding administration and engineering of projects throughout his 25 year career. He specializes in governmental consulting focusing on water treatment, storage and distribution, and wastewater collection, transmission, and treatment systems.
He has developed his great depth of expertise from his comprehensive experience in the design, development, implementation, and oversight of governmental water and wastewater projects. He works very closely with all applicable State and Federal agencies to secure funding for his clients. His years of funding coordination have yielded close relationships with all funding agencies including USDA Rural Development, US Economic Development Administration, NCDENR State Revolving Fund Program, NC Rural Center, NC Department of Commerce, Clean Water Management Trust Fund, Parks and Recreation Trust Fund, and many others. His dedication and experience in funding, design, and project management provides clients with a rare asset that is essential to insure the timely completion and high quality of their projects.
Bill’s engineering experience includes completion of two projects that received the American Council of Engineering Companies/NC Engineering Excellence Honors Award (Charles L. Turner Reservoir – Siler City, NC and Town of Carthage Microfiltration Water Treatment Plant) and one recognized as an Honorable Mention (Lake Tabor Dam – Tabor City, NC).
